Capital Seed is a not-for-profit community bank based in the Andean village of Cochas in Ecuador. We are a community-driven, integrated micro finance institute. Our goal is to provide savings products and food storage and distribution services aimed at improving food security and providing a smoother annual distribution of familial income. We believe an integrated approach involving more than just a line of credit is necessary to provide sustainable reductions in poverty. As members of our communities, we strive to address the unique needs of the families we work with and remove the barriers they face by providing unique solutions for welfare improvement grounded in improving health and education while encouraging and facilitating sustainable enterprise as a means of growth.
